Simpson to prepare young people for the service of God at home and abroad. The need for such preparation is even greater novv because of the day in which we live. We have assumed the duties of the office of the president with a keen sense of dependence upon God. Only the best in spiritual and academic training will do, A strong faculty, ade- quate buildings and equipment, and a thorough curriculum are essential. But these are only means to an end and not ends in themselves. The success of any college is measured by its product. Our supreme desire is to graduate capable students thoroughly grounded in the VVord of God, filled with the Holy Spirit, who possess the necessary skills for effective service for Christ and His kingdom.
