How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? ROM. 10:15 INDO-Cl-IINA AS DARKNESS sinks over a bleak Indo-China sky, a group of natives- men, women, and children-lie exhausted on an open field. Their gaunt faces, ragged clothes, and bodies bony from hunger, reveal untold suffering. Revolution is raging between the Viet-Namese and French, yet a far darker aspect is depicted. Laos has vast sections where white faces have never been seen. East Siam is a country of moral depravity, Wherever the gospel has been given, natives have shown unusual interest, but four large provinces remain unoccupied. One hundred tribes have never yet had their language reduced to writing. Jesus commands us to 'Go and teach all nations.' 'How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?' We as.Christians are responsible for the physical and spiritual destitution of this land. Indo-China raises bony, empty hands to you for the Bread of Life, the Lord Jesus Christ. What will your answer be? GERTRUDE KUHLMAN Congress of Bands Speaker l39

We are responsible tor twenty-seven millions of people who are divided into tour groups: the Viet Narnese, the Cambodians, the Thai, and the Tribes people. There are three large, distinct language groups as well as eighty-two tribal dialects. Buddhism, Animism and Ancestral worship are the Big Three of religions in Indo-China. The Cambodians and Laotians are ardent Buddhists, the Tribes people, Animists, while the Viet Namese seek religious efficacy in Ancestral worship. The torrid climate, the incessant downpour of the rainy season, the parched dry months, diseases-cham- pioned by Malaria, souls steeped in Paganism-this is the challenge ot Indo-China. l38

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for ns? Then said I, Here am I 5 send me. IsA. 6:8 'Today in heathen lands they die, They die in want and dread, For they have been omitted In the breaking of the bread. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ. EPB. 3:8 Lord, I would give them the Bread of Life, The living waters too. My heart cries out, Oh, here am I, Ready Thy will to do. 140
