A CHINESE peddler who was selling notions to Tibetans was robbed and beaten. With two gashes in his head he lay unconscious by the road- side until he regained enough strength to crawl over the hill and down to the village. Because of the stranger's condition, the villagers refused him help, but a missionary welcomed him, took care of him, and gave him a place in which to rest. When evening prayers were held in the home, the peddler was amazed at the power of the Gos- pel. Before he left that mission home, both his body and soul were healed.
