, A. flu l 41 The Class of 1946 g Moves 011 High on the banks of the beautiful Hudson, Where the river widens to 'form Tappan Zee, ls a school for the training of missionaries , Who carry the Gospel far over the sea. , A sadness we feel as we march to the platform, i Receive our diplomas and hasten away. How short the three years! And now we are leaving. We've longed to set forth, but now wish we could stay, :fi .gi in 11: ni ' We are a band of soldiers, going forth To conquer in the mighty Name of Christ, To cause the evil one to turn and flee, While we exalt the banner of the Cross. We are a band of reapers, going forth To reap the harvest fields so vast and ripe, To gather precious sheaves, and at the close Of day we'll lay them at our Master's feet. We are a band df shepherds, going forth To tend those sheep that stumble and are lost, To lead those who are shepherdless to Christ, The only true great Shepherd of the sheep. We as a band of fishermen go forth To cast our nets into the darkened sea, I To rescue those who, in the deep of sin, Know not our God, nor have a hope in life. :gi K is ,gi :gi :gi How can we tarry with such a commission? Departures grow sweeter in light of our trust. Still more must be said, but while we are speaking, Our Captain shouts Onward!'.' March onward we must. We turn once again, though it is from a distance, And speak in a grateful and heart-prompted tone: We'll miss you, dear friends of the Prayerful Hillside, Your lives have enriched us. God bless you each one. ROBERT RUSSELL 1 I 1 4 X 'ff . N, A . Q .nf , w,..,, , ,V 1 ly, fl i, k ff ,za

W -x.,,f ,ff T is with mingled feelings that we the Class of '46 face gradua- tion. Reflecting back over the past three years we are reminded of the marvelous answers to prayer that God has given. These have been precious years in which we have made life- time friends. This bond of love that binds our hearts together in one common purpose-- the winning of souls to Jesus Christ, is -beyond our computation. Although we do not know what the future holds for our class, we give ourselves unreservedly to the disposal of God to do with us as He sees fit. Class of '46, the Lord be merciful unto thee, and bless thee, and cause His face to shine upon thee. Class Adviser GILBERT H. JOHNSON 1' ' ' T ' ' .V I 4 'Q J -. .
