Lord brought me into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in a very wonderful way When I enlisted in the Army in June 1942 I was unsaved Five months later I was on my way overseas By Christmas our outfit was stationed gust outside of Oran in North Africa That was the beginning of the most miserable winter l ever spent Mud cold monotony but praise God for ntl Mans extremity IS God s opportunity There I got hold of a pocket sized New Testament and started readmg It through About four months later the Lord sent a Christian soldier to our out tit to answer my questions By the time I had read through Romans I realized that I was lost ln sun and without excuse before an angry God By then our outht had moved over to Tunis I will never forget the day I sought out my Christian buddy and we went to our knees before God. My soul was saved and my heart was filled with hunger for the Word of God. I read the Bible through in a year. Since I have been dis- charged from the army my family has been saved. Now that I am Ia student at Nyack I pray that God will use me to gather in many precious souls to His Kingdom. He is a wonderful Saviour to me ' --RICHARD BLAKE Warld - I 4 Ing 'I , ' I A VY . In Europe, and in the East, millions are homeless and starvi 5 sickness, pestilence, and famine are on every hand. The difficulties of establishing new governments, with reconstruction problems, are enormous. The aftermath of our war in America is seen in crime waves, multiple strikes and many other economic and social problems. Foremost in this tragic picture is fear of possible annihilation by the Atomic Bomb. In a recent broadcastwnewspipler editors of America united in stating that unless the nations of the wofldsoani solve their' problems and find a successful way of establishin'g'p,41e'iianent peace, civilization is doomed! What a crisis hour for servants of the Living God to proclaim His salvation! Where can men look with confidence for certain deliverance? 'Look unto rne,' saith the Lord.
