Lord brought me into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in a very wonderful way When I enlisted in the Army in June 1942 I was unsaved Five months later I was on my way overseas By Christmas our outfit was stationed gust outside of Oran in North Africa That was the beginning of the most miserable winter l ever spent Mud cold monotony but praise God for ntl Mans extremity IS God s opportunity There I got hold of a pocket sized New Testament and started readmg It through About four months later the Lord sent a Christian soldier to our out tit to answer my questions By the time I had read through Romans I realized that I was lost ln sun and without excuse before an angry God By then our outht had moved over to Tunis I will never forget the day I sought out my Christian buddy and we went to our knees before God. My soul was saved and my heart was filled with hunger for the Word of God. I read the Bible through in a year. Since I have been dis- charged from the army my family has been saved.
