The Frosh-Soph Wrestling team once again had an excellent turnout. Although their overall record was only 4-6, the talent of these new wrestlers will be an asset for future varsity teams. J .V. Takes League Title The Junior Varsity Wres- tling team this year brought back the South Coast League title to M.V.H.S. The team was undefeated in league, had a lO-2 overall record, and had many first place finishes at the finals. Outstanding J.V. wrestlers were Jeff Higashi, Tony Cantino, and Art Andreas. Co-captain Matt Kinney led the Diablos in scoring, while Scott Vilter, also co- captain, dominated the halfback line. Offensive- ly, Scott Goodman, Paul Mattoon, Mike Dotson, and the Roberson brothers toyed with opponents defenses in a very productive year.
