Bottom row Coach Minier. Tom Desiano. Todd Feldman. Chris Karpinen. Dave Sheehan, Mike Hoffman. Joey Brick. Coach Williams. The l983-84 Varsity basketball team was perhaps the best our sehool had in several years. ln pre-league play the team was 7-5 but they had not y'et played up to their full potential. After losing their first three games. the Diablos slowly began to mold as a team and entered league play rolling over their opponents. They then ended the first round of league play undefeated, and had a great ehanee to win the South Coast League championship. The team was also the first to make the C.l.F. playoffs in three years. The team was led by forwards eaptain Richard A. Mueneh. who was named to an all tournament team, and junior David Hill. Guards Joe Brick. Dave Sheehan, and Tommy Desiano, all performed very well setting up and scoring many baskets. Jim Evans played strongly at center with Keith Mowry as his back up. Co-captain Ed Merk, Vie Holland, and Mike llofman Came off the bench to ignite many rallies. Congratulations are in order to the entire Varsity team for their outstanding performance in their 83-84 season. Riek Mueneh skies for two, David Hill goes over an opponent for the ball, l A T- t' ,QW 'E 'l 15,152.3 if l-1-J l. T s - A ki!
