Early in the season, the Diablo Water Polo men found themselves in water above their heads, rarely surfacing long enough to take a breath of victory. Back to back losses to top rivals Laguna Beach and University sealed their fate out of the playoffs. With Kevin Whitelaw in goal and Cary Okazaki, Mike Bush, and Terry Murphy in tank, the Diablos were among the class of the 2A circuit. Led by Sophomore Mike Walterhouse, and Senior Jon Cook, the Diablos outdistanced every opponent. With the JV and Frosh-Soph teams also proving to be strong through the ranks, the Mission Machine should be in high gear over the next few seasons.
