What is a counselor? A counselor is a person who listens to you when you think you're failing Macrame 1 and says, You can do it, but thinks, She'll never make it. A counselor is a person who tells you to take Advanced Calculus E after you've barely completed Int. Algebra W, and has confidence that you'll pass. Bu't most of all, a counselor is a person equipped to handle the everyday mix-ups and hassles of student life. The problems that they must handle are numerous and diverse, but our counselors seek just and solid solutions, nonetheless. So, the next time you're handed an award for passing Advanced Finger Counting and are asked to make a speech, remember to thank your counselor, who made it all possible.

YESTERDAY The Mission Viejo High School History Department offers a wide variety of classes for the student. All through High School a student is required to take a history class. Whether it's Freshmen with World History, Sophomores taking State Requirements, the Juniors taking American History. or the Seniors taking Civics and Economics, the student is found enjoying Social Science through all their High School days. After the Seniors have taken Civics, they are offered three other courses. Psychology, Sociology and International Relations. What these classes are trying to do is to get the student to realize the need for flexibility in a society that is changing. Through the History Department, the student is able to associate past occurrences with today's events. The History Department. by forming a bridge between the past and present is helping us to prepare to better cope with the future. U.S. History
