Coach Pat Roberts with his assistant Dave King took a team that many thought wouldybe downtrodden and guided them to a 17-8 record and a spot in the C.l.F. 2A Playoffs. y Roberts started four 5-10 players and built his team around quickness and full court press. Catalysts on M.V.'s press were All League Senior guards Dave Cooper and Dean Egertson while the offense revolved around 6-5 Junior Steve Sawyer. With seven of Mission's 10 players underclassmen, 1976 should provide new heights for Diablo Basketball.
