We, the Seniors of 1958, dedicate our QUA QUEI yearbook to our Science and Guidance Teacher, Mr, Herb York. ln his past five years at Mission High' School he has won the deep respect and friendship of each and every student. Through his ready wit and patience he has made not only the Pep Club but many other activities most enjoyable. In apprecia- tion for what he has done for us we dedicate this an- nual to him. I have enjoyed the experiences of knowing you and working with you. For the past four years you have proven yourself deserving of receiving your high school diploma, I hope that in so doing you have fostered an interest in education. It is through America's system of education that America has be- come great. You are challenged to maintain this tradition. In addition to bet- ter scholastic understanding you will contribute to the future your background of character, leadership and service. In so doing you will have no fear of the future. You, the members of the Annual Staff and your advisor, Mr. McPherson, are to be commended for this fine yearbook, In years to come you will look back on its pages with interest and fond memories of that which is past. Good luck to you and may the best in llfe be yours. Stuart E. Fistchen, Superintendent We-21553553 'H-' '- 'L -f?f'.-r,-Tig ' -I .Q-52 1. 'T':? This page sponsored by the RONAN STATE BANK We, Shirley Shovel and Pixie Pick, were called into the office of Joe Arlee, Chief of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he gave us a special assignment, to check up on the Mis- sion Seniors of 1958. We boarded a TWA Strato-Liner on flight to Georgia and there began our investigation. It was reported that there were two former Montana basketball heroes employed as coaches at Georgia Tech. Here was the situation: Merle Matt was happily coaching the 'Georgia Peaches, a famous girls' basketball team and Ed Woodcock, not quite so fortunate, got stuck with the boys' team. ,Erom there we flew to Chicago where we attended the performance of the World 's Champion Roller Skater. Upon entering the arena, we found her to be none other than Connie Hahn. After a brief visit, we flew to Detroit where we found Bill Violette, Chrysler Corporation employee, trying to supe up Roger Degert's 10 year old Imperial. Hollywood held many surprises in store for us. Here we found Donna Grubb, famous Dance Instructor: Norma Marceau, happily married to Clarence and selling tickets in her own theater. As we walked into the Jackie Fisher Beauty Parlor we found Sandie Herman, famous Met star, having her hair styled. We decided to do a little gambling on the side so our next stop was Reno, site of the 1968 Olympics, featuring the World Famous Hotrodder, Denny Schliep. Also site of our bankruptcy, so we hitch-hiked to St, Louis. So, our destination was St. Louis, where teacher Linda Roseliep offered us a horse, from her horse ranch, for transportation on our investigation. Due to circumstances, naturally we accepted We rode gallantly into Provo, Utah, where we stopped off to chow up' with Nadine Brower, Head Home Ec Instructor at B,Y,U, We rode into Wyoming just in time to help Jim Moran herd his sheep to the big sheep-shear. Also we saw Vinola Saunders, stenographer to Mrs. McPherson and her huge business concern. Next Great Falls, site of Jerry Cordier 's happy household. On to the scene of our previous capers, Mission. As we galloped up Mission Street, we met Doug Payne in his new red Jaguar. His old side-kick rancher, John Larson, who, incidentally, owns the hugest Hereford ranch ever thought of in these here parts, told us Doug has been con- ducting his telephone monopoly from his summer resort. In their spare time, Doug and John jointly run the John'll Meet 'Cha, Doug'll Beat 'Cha Casino, formerly their old hangout, the Club Bar. As we walked in to case the joint, we saw our comrade-in-crime, Tom Corcoran BEHIND the counter. Here we gambled our horse and won out stake. We found lewis Ball, chemist, in Mr. York's darkroom, rebuilding his Stil As we were leaving town we saw Bill Fearon's place of business. Name1Y: Bill's Bl1l'Y'311. Home of Satisfied Customer. In Seattle we needed a re -apair job. Mary Ann Whalen Schliep did a professional job of patching up our heads while worrying about Larry's supper. From there we flew to Arabia, where David Johnson is known to have the world's largest harem. On the Riviera we found Barbara Hageboeck and her millionaire husband spending their mad money and taking in all the interesting sights. Then we rode our magic carpet to Hawaii, where we found Albert Brown still looking for his one and only. We heard that Elinor Johnson, Journalist, was covering the story, Quiet Germany. So to complete our investigation we went in search of Elinor where we found her creating one of the biggest riots in German history, That's all, folks, we threw in the rag ana Joined the mob.
