CLASS FLOWER: Talisman Rose CLASS COLORS: Scarlet and Grey We started our Senior year with 33 members. During the year 8 of them dropped out. They are Richard Orr, Gilbert Michel, Gor- don Hill, Norma Silverthorne, Bernandine Blood, Gene Stratton and Hugh Krantz. The Senior Sociology Class took a field trip to Warm Springs and the State Prison at Deer Lodge. We had a Christmas Dance on December 22 at Rainbow Hall. This was to take the place of the Senior Ball. It was very success- ful and a high light of the year. On January 30th the Senior English Class, which had been read- ing Mac Beth went to Missoula to see the presentation of the famous play by the University Dramatic Students. We presented our Class Play on March 27th. The play, The Vampire Bat , was directed by Miss Pitch and Mr. Blaylock. Those in the play were Bob Rollins, Ida Stockton, Bev Maxwell, Floyd Mikkelsen, Willie Thill, Joe Papenfuss, Richard Willis, Margaret Hilton, Betty Phillips, George Beckwith, Pete Gariepy, and Frances Grubb. The highlights of the month of May were our Senior Banquet and our Senior Trip. All through the Senior year we have given several plays and assemblies for money raising purposes. Our Baccalaureate was held on May 18 in the High School Gym- nasium. The Invocation was given by Mr. Rowley of the L.D.S, Church. The Sermon was given by Rev. Robert Larson of the Chris- tian Church. Father Green of the Catholic Church gave the Benedic- tion. To the Seniors despair they had tests two days before Gradua- tion. The crowning event of our Senior year took place at 8:00 PM on May 21, 1952. The speaker was Mr. Edmund Freeman, Pro- fessor of English at the Montana State University. His subject was Poetry, Politics, and Young People. Robert Rollins, Valedictorian and Margaret Hilton, Salutatorian spoke. HIP! HIP! Joan Carter wills her perfect attendance record to Tom McDonald. Norene Durrant leaves her quietness to Marianne Morin. Evelyn Eye wills her short haircut to Janet Forrest. Francis Grubb fin a bitter tonel wills her job on the annual staff to anyone who is stupid enough to take it. June Herchman wills those big brown eyes to Gaines Experimental Kennels, cocker spaniel division. Margaret Hilton wills her art of conversation to Bill Bristol. Beverly Maxwell leaves her ability to acquire nick names to John Marceau. Betty Phillips wills her mastery of the English language to Shirley Struss. Ruth Stipe leaves her sewing ability to Armenta Spear. Ida Stockton leaves her job as editor of the Broadcastor to some enthusiastic journalist. Willie Thill leaves her habit of getting to school second period to Ivan Fisher. Jim Jenson wills his ability to sleep in class to Martena Allard. Tom Krantz leaves his ability to elude Mr. Clawson to Frank Alli- son. George Beckwith leaves the job of the class will to some unfortunate junior. Jack Currie wills his broad smile and happy go-lucky manner to Herb Herschman. Jim Dyke wills his way with the women to Emery Johnson. Margaret Hilton is telling grade school kids to count to ten fwon- der where she learned howl. June Herschman is now taking Hedda Hopper's place as head columnist in Hollywood. Norene Durrant is private secretary to one of the Nati0n's top Business Presidents. We went into a resturant and Ida Stockton waited on our table. She told us Willie Thill was still working at Dubay's doing the same old jobs. Joe Papenfuss after winning the 100 meter dash in the '56' Olympics has a job as the track coach at Vassar. Floyd Mikkelsen is Zoo Keeper at the Bronz Zoo and has al- ready raised four little Orangspangs himself. Pete Gariepy, local undertaker has found business bad lately with the discovery of new wonder drugs. Richard Willis is mixing tortillis at a fifth rate Hollywood bar, still trying to get a screen test at Paramount. John Jeffreys is a leading New York Psychiatrist. Millionaire sportsman Jim Jenson,is wintering on the Riviera after his speedboat Silver Streak IV recently won the Seattle Gold Cup Regatta,pi1oted by Frances Grubb,the first woman to win the event. George Beckwith and Cliff Matt are star pitchers for the New York Yankees. Joan Carter is one of the leading dress designers in the nation and is working for M.G.M. James Dyke had a big cattle ranch in the Badlands of North Dakota. Betty Phillips and Bob Rollins are in Chile, Bob is a mining engineer and they are having kids by the dozens. Ruth Stipe is chief entertainer in the Stork Club. Eugene Nelson has recently returned from studying at an Eastern Seminary and is the new Evangilist Minister in Ronan.
