DREW Deion e Program I Led by Princmal In any undertaking, such as the Civilian Defense program, there must be leaders to whom the others can turn when the need for advice or consultation arises. Here in Mission, this person is lVIr. William J. Drew, our beloved principal. His great understanding and individual interest in every student who enters lVIission is cause for cease- less praise from both educators and parents. With everlasting gratitude, the students of lVlission thank Mr. Drew for his skill in designing 1nucl1 of our school building. Through his tireless efforts for its improvement, we can also point with the greatest pride to Drew Playlield, which was constructed for the benefit of both the boys and girls. His boundless pride for the school and the pupils is his main and most endearing characteristic. Next to his great interest in architectural design, is his interest in music. Besides his ability to play the flute, he is also a master of the organ. PAGE FIGHT Mr. Drew is as fond of the recreational side of education as he is of the curricular side. and as Missionis most enthusiastic rooter. he can be seen at every athletic Competition, cheering his boys on to victory. He is doubly proud of the fact that many honors have come to the school in the past few years through our semi-annual journal, andthe WI-JST WING. as well as honors in the music department. art department, and R.0.'I'.C. In fact all of the departments have contributed their share in establishing the excellent standing of our school. In a previous message to the student body, lVlr.
