THIS YEAR MARKS THE THREE- HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF HIGH SCHOOL EDU- CATION IN OUR UNITED STATES, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH- OUT THE LAND ARE CELEBRATING THIS EVENT IN MANY MAGNIFICENT WAYS. ACCORDING TO THE ANTIQUE CHI- NESE PROVERB, ONE PICTURE MEANS AS MUCH AS A THOUSAND WORDS , AND SO WE ARE PRESENTING OUR THEME, VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN MISSION HIGH, BY MEANS OF A SER- IES OF INTERESTING ACTION PICTURES TAKEN WHILE WE WERE AT WORK AT OUR EVERY-DAY TASKS AT MISSION HIGH SCHOOL.

IIIREWIIIIII I LOOKING BACKWARD OVER THEIR THREE HAPPY YEARS OF FRIENDLY ASSOCIATIONS WITH TEACHERS AND SCHOOLMATES-LOOKING FORWARD OVER THE PANORAMA OF THE SHAD- OWY VISTAS OF THEIR VARIED VEN- TURES OF THE FUTURE, THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF JUNE, l935 TO SAY FARE- WELL. MUCH OF WHAT THEY HAVE LEARNED IN THEIR TEXT BOOKS, THEY WILL FORGET. THAT IS ACCORDING TO THE NATURAL LAW, BUT, IF THEY ARE ABLE TO CARRY WITH THEM SOME OF THE NOBLE MESSAGES THAT HAVE COME TO THEM-IF THEY CAN DO SOME OF THE GREAT THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED TO THEM-IF THEY CAN BE KIND AND BIG IN DEALING WITH THEIR FELLOW MEN, THEY WILL BE CARRYING OUT THE TRADITIONS AND THE IDEALS OF THEIR BELOVED ALMA MATER, MISSION HIGH.
