'llhc Texas lflducation Agency and the Southern Association of Col- leges and Secondary Schools requires that every sehool sy stem eonduet an evaluation at least every I0 years lor accreditation with those agencies. Nlission lligh School was evaluat- ed during the l969-70 school term and faculty nienihcrs, students. and administrators all had a part in the work ol' preparing the evaluation. The Philosophy and Olijectives Coni- niittec and the School and Com- munity Clomniittee held numerous meetings to work up reports for Mr. H. 'lf Xancels Steering Conunittee. Dr. William llarron ol' the l ni- versity ol' Texas in fkustin was chairs man of the outside evaluation team that made several visits to MHS to see how it was progressing and to help committee nienihers with their reports. MHS maintained its excellent standing with two agencies as a result of the self-evaluation. 17
