Western style by Michelle Linville, Tamarin Star, Shawn Murphy, and Candace RW E estern theme invades dance floor! The first dance of the year took place in the school gym on October 17, 1986 at 8:00 p.m. Earli- er that day, the varsity football team roped the Clairemont Chiefs 7-0. The winning game and Buc BBQ prepared students for a spirited western dance. Many students pulled out their western duds for the hoedown. An exceptionally large crowd of over 200 enioyed the 91X and 92.5 style of soul and new wave music. At their leisure, they rested and refreshed themselves with punch and pretzels and enjoyed the decorations of scarecrows and streamers. A thrilling game, an excellent meal, and a little western spirit resulted in a delightful day. fi- ' Seniors Ernest, Dwain, Carolyn, and Tom express their opinion of the dance.
