Wade Mains and Wesley Odom choose pictures from a contact sheet. FIR T CLASS his year's yearbook staff went first class under the supervision of our chief editor Jennifer Reighley and our assistant editor Cheryl Nolan. In no time at all, the newcomers to the staff I practically the whole crewj got down to business and began immedi- ately on their projects. For the first part ofthe year, the staj learned how to make layouts and how to organize their photos and copies. Once the staff understood the basics, the ac- tion never stopped and there was never a dull day throughout the whole year. This year's staff learned the tricks of the trade very fast and showed professionalism and dedication that Mission Bay High School has never seen before. AF A Cultural Exchange Back: Mrs. Halkola, Kathy Danzig, Maria Alvarez, Jennifer Joldersma Front: Abby Miedema, T ara Dorman AFS Advisor Mrs. Halkola 20 A.F.S. President Abby Miedema .B.H.S. has had an active American Field Service KAFSJ Club for the past 27 years. AFS is an international organi- zation to expand their views of the world sponsoring stu- dents to live in different countries. Foreign students are placed with families with similar interests. T o sponsor their activities the club sold concessions at Buc games. At Mission Bay's AFS Weekend, students from all over San Diego County spent the weekend sharing with each other and learning about each other.
