Az in 23 Nt tl.. nl ! WHO: Bob Beuffer and Sherry 0'DelI WHEN: fhe day of fhe Cenfral parade BOB. You worked hard on the Commercial Club float . . . huh? SHERRY. We sure did . . . last night. BOB. You know the Student Council hasn't got a float yet? This morning at about 7:30 I passed Tassell running down the street towards home. He and Ermeti went after the truck last night. SHERRY. Do they have a cute idea? BOB. Yeah, the idea is cute, but they didn't get on the ball in time. They're going to build a guillotine with two Central guys lined up and call it the Tale of Two Cities. From what I've seen so far, it's not going on the road. SHERRY. What did you do in practice last night? BOB. Let's see . . . what were we supposed to say? We were working on fundamentals and learning to execute our plays proper- ly . . . or something like that. Say, I hear the faculty's going to have a band! SHERRY. Yes, I saw Mr. Broman practicing the sax. And Mr. Myers is going to play the drums. Miss Perkins is a baton twirler. Do you know who the queen is? BOB. I don't know, but Miss Wilson knows, and she even put the ballots in the safe . . . nobody will know until the pep session. If we take Central, it'll be our first victory since '47, That's a long time . . . four years! BYEIHS
