At a time when the world is in a chaotic state, one is not surprised to find a kind of revolution in education. Success in the revolution is imminent only if proper steps are taken to insure it. This means involving those concerned with education, both from within and outside the field, to scrutinize honestly, responsibly, and thoroughly what facts of education need to be altered and which basic truths must be recognized as immutable. Inherent in this is the need for teachers to subscribe to a worth- while philosophy in their own lives; to set personal and professional goals and to couple with this a willingness to work to attain these goals. In the light of the world situation, teachers need to instruct students in the effectiveness of real communication. Youth, to become worthy citizens, must be helped to understand and appreciate their cultural heritage and the heritage of world cul- tures; to develop a respect for learning. They must be guided in valuing attitudes of intellectual honesty and personal responsibility. From their efforts, teachers may hope to fulfill the dominant purpose of education, namely, the development of the intellectual potential of the student, for everyone is destined by his Creator to become a whole person.
