Plato, Shakespeare, et al 1 Howard Lawrence 27 Humanities is Man's search for under- standing himself through his history, philosophy, art, the social sciences. Man seeks answers to the age-old questions. Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? What is life? What is truth? What is justice? What is love? Why society? Why government? We believe that the humanities in conjunction with the MatheScience areas will help to provide the answers weseek. Here at Miraleste High School we have integrated and interrelated the various academic diciplines into the humanities department. Our flex pro- gram in the Sophomore and Junior years is an excellent example ofdiscipline integration.
