To back up these pitchers, Miraleste had fine sluggers in Tom Papa- dakis, who had a hot bat all season, Larry Hoover, Anthony Cigliano, and Mark Rarick-who with his fine batting also had an equally good glove. The Varsity team started off with hot batting and excellent pitching. Both Jim Scharffenburger and Greg Johnson threw a one-hitter back to back a- gainst Murphy, but due to injuries and stronger teams the Marauders couldn't make C.I.F. Next year Miraleste will still retain its entire pitch- ing staff, but the majority of the sluggers like Papa- dakis, Tillotson, Szabo, and Rarick will graduate thus bringing up some of the younger players from junior varsity. SENIOR MATT TILLOTSON starts back to third after a long throw into home. Varsity Baseball
