ROB HROMAS pulls the last few strokes for one of his fastest times in the P.V. lnvitationals. l99 lst in league With the persistent winnings of the Cees and the hard won victories of the Bees, Miraleste High School gave a good showing from start to finish. With the Cees placing first and foremost in the CIF Relays and the Palos Verdes Invitational, the Cee team had no trouble convincing anybody that they were a great team with future potential. The Bee team overcame an early lapse to fight their way to second place in league and showed a great deal of promise. Miraleste High School hopes to have the same luck with next year's swimmers. Top Cee swimmers were Steve Pike, Dean Han- ley, Jeff Lynn, and Randy Miller. These four swimmers formed the major part of the team. Top performers for the Bees were Mitch Tinnann, Tim Personious, and Bob Barclay. Next years Varsity team ought' to have a strong team able to compete with next years new formed league. Cee Swimming

SENIOR SCOTT MILLS, strains as he finishes first in the high hurdles. The Miraleste Varsity Spikers had a fine season and came in first place in league with a 5-0 record. This year they set many records: pole- vaulting by Keith Carlson, Cwho later broke his army Richard Fox in the mileg the relay team, and many others. Most of the Marauder meets were on home track which was an ad- vantage since the field event participants knew all the disadvantages. The runners also set good times since they, too, were accus- tomed to the course. Some of the Varsity standouts were high jumper Jay Hummel, shot-putters Dave Bell and Vic Branker, miler Richard Fox, hurdler and long jumper Scott Mills, and relayer Joe Nebolon. There were other outstanding team members, for track is an individual competing against another individual. Winners of the individual events get points which are added up after the meet to determine the school winner. Next year the Marauder Spikers are not favored to take league because they will go into a different, tougher league. These schools will be Leuzinger, Redondo, Beverly Hills, and Morningside. Next season the spikers will have their work cut out for them, even though they will have a fine team. Varsity Track SENIOR JAIME CHRISTOPHER tries his hand at long jumping.
