.Vfs Net First in League GEORGE HARDWOOD RETURNS the serve against his opponent after school. The Miraleste Varsity Racketmen had a superb season as they again took league and progressed into C.I.F. The players had no problem this year in league be- cause no other team could come close to the perfection of the Marauders. Most of the Varsity players were veterans of last year when they played under the instruc- tion of Francis Lowery. Top players this year were Scott Ben- son, Linsay Olson, Mark Ellis, and Mark Thomas. These players formed the nu- cleus ofthe Marauder team. The Marauder J.V. Netters were also undefeated in league as no other team could match them. Top performers for the J.V.'s were Mark Peake, Neil Soif- fer, Ric Collins, and Randy Evansson. Next year the Marauders are going to be a formidable team even though most of the Varsity leave. The tennis team has a lot of depth and the J.V.'s could com- pete against other Varsity teams given the chance. J.V.
