Basketball team, under the supervision of James Dugan, had a very successful season. In Pio- neer League play, the Marauders were extremely tough, ending with a 9-I record and a first place tie with Daniel Murphy. The J.V.'s played with tough luck as they lost six of their games by four points or less. There were many outstanding per- formers for the Marauders. Brad Perkinson, the leading Marauder scor- er, led the fast break and was a great driver. Dana Thomas was the most consistent outside shooter and helped with his tough defense. Jay Hummel was the JV's leading rebounder and a proficient inside shooter. Don Dun- can did a fine job of scoring and re- bounding. One ofthe Marauders' strong points was their depth as Coach Dugan could go to his bench for excellent relief at any time. John Carr was a stand out for the JV's. With his hustle and defense he sparked many Marauder victories. Craig Schorr was extremely tough under the boards. Chuck Barsam did a fine job of getting some quick points.
