5O'l's and denim s hit the scene at lVlarauders found a way of expressing them- selves, not only with words but with their choice of clothing. With the tremendously large student body on campus, it was important to stand out from the crowd. A new fashion was lassoed: Boots, fringed tops, and prarie shirts. Beach wear hit the shore with tee shirts-with-sweats, and flojos-with-socks. Leather jackets expressed tough personalities. Sweaters--no longer just for warmth, came in every color and design to bring out everyone's tastes. ls it a banana clip? Accessories were the creme-de-la-creme of every outfit. The casual look outweighed any other style. Nlarauders made sure their clothing was as laid back as possible. lVlira Mesa High exhibited fashion day after day, adding to the fun of being in style.
