tl r'ick'0 ' rea dark fog settled over Mira Mesa High on Halloween as hordes of goblins, witches, and other creatures of the night descended upon th unsuspecting campus. Bloodcurdling screams echoed throughout the school grounds as slimy ghouls snatched up unlucky freshmen, who were never seen again. Mira Mesa High School, once filled with happy Marauders, was now a playground for spiders, spooks,and spectres. Actually, Halloween this year was quite different than this. The school was filled with cheerful, smiling faces as students and staff alike showed their spirit by displaying costumes. Along with the traditional scary costumes, a variety of other outfits could be seen, ranging anywhere from bellydancers to slices of pizza. Once the sun went down Marauders set out in search of a frightfully good time. Some joined in on the festivities at the Homecoming game, and cheered our team to victory. Others, desiring a spookier All Hallow's Eve, visited one of the Haunted Houses in the area. Costume parties were also a popular destination for students. And there was always the traditional trick-or-treating, which provided both fun and a truly monstrous feast of goodies. wi Till.
