No matter what the activity or event, it almost always revolved around our community. Lunchtime activities brought out the big crowds as enthusiastic participants competed for sought-after spirit points. Whether a pre-game cheer or a tricycle relay race, support for the teams and the battle between the classes was well represented. After school, clubs and organizations gathered to plan for future activities and fundraisers. Night sports under the stadium lights were big favorites, with blue and gold clad Marauders, playing and cheering to win. When the game was over the heat got hotter in the gym, where dances let everyone show their own stuff! Off campus, there were plenty of other activities that kept the pace going. Fast food and fast cars gathered groups of friends together to cool down at a favorite spotg the beach, the malls, the movies, vacant office buildings, foreign countriesg wherever their wills and their wheels could take them. Some engaged in group gossip discussions, others set off in search of fast-paced excitement. Of most importance, whether it was a party or a pep rally, the Mira Mesa Marauders were there, and in full force. STUDENT LIFE DIVISION 9
