As far as real estaterjargon went, MMHS was at the tip of the golden triangle, in other words- prime land. New developments sprang up through Mira Mesa and Scripps Ranch attracting new talent to add to academic and athletic programs, while other areas fought their way in for a piece of the action in the ROP courses. Things were cooking in the popularly demandedparking lots, locker bays, bleachers and hallways. And, outside the home of the blue and gold, Southern' California paradise beckoned. La Jolla's famed jewel of a coast called to the beachy crowd and jet setting Marauders left our perfect climate for ski slopes and desert sands at seasonal demand. Horton Plaza, Seaport Village, Old Town and coastal nightlife at the nearby beaches added sparkle to existence in paradise. All seats were taken because of the fiery hot appeal of dances, blue and gold victories, the never ceasing academic flame, and the sizzle of Where it Was'At .
