Money ack Guarantee With approximately two hundred thousand dollars in the budget, the School Site Council was made up of staff, students, and parents. Designed to improve basic skills programs, SSC allocated funds to other programs such as business, science, fitness, and guidance programs. Major break throughs in educational functions resulted from the positive school atmosphere brought about by monthly school improvement meetings. YI Key Club is a fun and learning experience. -Michele Williams Manhour's for Mankind was this years Key Club theme. KEY, meaning Kiwanas Educate Youth was advised by Mr. Otis Funches and led by President Reme Damasco. Members provided helping hands in school and community functions. Such as Homecoming halftime car decorating and assisting the March of Dimes Cabbage Patch fundraiser. One special afternoon meeting was set aside to plan their first annual interclub by candle light which brought Key Clubs from other schools to join together and form a large Key Club. Drill and Flag Dazzle the Stand Marauderettes and flag provided spirited routines, flashing uniforms and smiles at home football and basketball games as well as pep rallies. Improvement was evident, after hours of summer and afterschool practicing under the leadership of experienced members and advisor, Lynn DePaul. Synchronicity was the key in judged competitions where newly gained sweatsuits were donned to grab second place at Mount Carmel and Mission Viejo. Innovative routines and movements were put to use in Christmas parades and in an invitation to the Reagan Republican Convention.
