18 Lunch Hangouts Local Lunch Hangouts Stomachs growled as lunchtime approached, drawing out third and fourth periods to immeasurable time. Passing period bells released hungry masses to fast food havens, mall shops, cafeteria specials and the inevitable brown bag. Can I borrow some money for a Big Mac? -Jimmy Dykes Mickey D's, Burger King, and Wendy's proved popular for those searching out the All Americanl meal. Welcome at lunch time were combination deals that stretched student dollars through the week. At a loss for transportation, underclassmen frequented the local Taco Bell or filed through the crosswalks for yogurt and pizza. With money tight, options were sometimes limited to peanut butter from home or presentable eateries from the cafeteria. Those with empty wallets, choosing to leave campus, though, could cram into a noisy booth for gossip and a straying french fry. 1. Maryann Cavalan and Kendra Kordalski sip the rest of their cokes during lunch 2. A hungry student spends her last dollars to go lunchless for the rest of the week. 3. Nancy Wilson and Lainie Block cruise to Burger King's drive thru. 4. Wendy Berner points out that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. 5. ' l , 1 Doing It All For You Spring A.S.B. elections brought in a spirited and hard working group, ready to use leadership camp training. Ability was put to the test with new methods of locker distribution, spirit week development and dance planning. Distribution of funds under the supervision of Kim Coody and approval of fundraiser activities and new clubs marked the group's major responsibilities. Yearbook is an exciting class but at the same time teaches you much responsibility. -Valerie Williams f'Summertime Advertising brought mass yearbook orders,'f noted Eva Tabornal, advertising manager, who began tackling her yearbooki ng at summer's end, along with the rest of the busy staff. Quickly established deadlines were met by networks of interviewers, photographers, copywriters, and layout designers who put in late nights and long lunch hours to ease the workload. Advisor, Judy Earle, and Co-Editors Nancy Wilson and Lainie Block, developed staff potential, eyeing later competitions. l. Co-editors Lainie Block and Nancy Wilson enjoy a snack while slaving away with their work, 9. Working together, David Hickman, Kim Walker, Valerie Williams, Karyn Shumate, Sheila Scott, Pam Lops, Jackie Pulopot and Suzanne Pulopot relax their sore muscles after completing another strenuous and time consuming deadline. 3. ASB Vice-President Candy Huber, President Connie Viado and Treasurer Stacey Fay. 5, The photographers on the yearbook staff are: Kenny Tyner, Kim Walker, David Hickman, Gary Cumo, Trevor Evans, and Tom Perry. 6.
