Baby Huey' and 'Smooth Kl' A Little Extra Going from junior varsity teams to varsity, the excitement wore off as many realized that the varsity letter wasn't the only bonus earned during the year on varsity team. Alot of hard work went on down on the fields and up on the courts. Competition was sometimes tough, but all pulled through with a feeling of accomplishment. The sweat and dedication was worth it when CIF championships pulled around. Banding together after games, matches, and races, athletes made and maintained friendships on and off the field. Lunchtime brought bands of lettermen jackets hanging around the food machines and the grass areas. With all the time spent perfecting their game, a lot of 'jocksf' found that there was less time for homework and social activities. But sports minded Juniors could still be seen tossing in the books and playing as hard as they had worked. Showing their pride of theirjunior achievements, with new lettermen jackets slung over their shouldersjuniors strolled over to the physical education building as the bell for sixth period rang.
