Finally pushed to prime time showings of upperclass- men, Juniors -worked the supply and demand of a comparatively smaller class of 799 to their advantage. Reaching sweet sixteens sometime before or during eleventh grade, marketability increased with the addition of cars and jobs. Hardly in the fine print of a Junior contract, was the toughest year experienced by those fighting through AP exams, working for a high G.P.A. to put on college transcripts, or PSAT trials. No slacking this year. Christy Snow Going fast in the high school market, Junior Class Council members sought to push their seniority advantage over the competition, for a build up on next year's prom funds. Higher priorities meant possible dance sponsorship, along with the basic car wash and candy sale fundraisers. 4. 1.

ff T M 'V V A fruit X R' A ' mg- -Ding A day did not go by without someone using the telephones on campus. The sudden rise in price from ten to twenty cents had not affected the students wallets. The telephone to many students like Erika McGehee and Bobby Reed was the second best thing to having a car. Phones on campus were usually for quick messages but during lunch hours and after school students were hogging the phone with long conversations causing a line to build up behind them. Many of these conversations were guys and girls calling one another making dates and writing down answers for their homework that should have been finished last night. Instead, students called up the friend that was absent to get the answers. Phones on campus have not yet caused any major problems and show that it was a great idea, that was if you ever got a chance to use the phone.
