Sailing through Homecoming Week it seemed as if the sailors of Mira Mesa High had more spirit than ever. On the first day of this year's cruise through insanity week there was an A.S.B. card drawing for gifts at lunch, followed by tugs of war, servant sale, chariot races, alien dress -up day, and, for a grand finale, a 6th period pep rally, featuring alumni cheerleaders and songleaders, and many alumni seated in the stands. After school there was the annual parade down Mira Mesa Boulevard, which wound up at the football field. The Girls swimming team won first place for their float, which displayed originality. The cruise ended with the Homecoming Game and later that evening, with the Homecoming Dance. 1. The Class of '84's representatives parade down the street on Homecoming Day. 2.
