More than your average library, it is a learning center complete with 3,000 pieces of audio-visual software, such as cassettes, film strips, slides, film loops, art prints, records, games, kits, models, and transparencies. One can even learn from a favorite piece of visual equipment, the television. In addition to all this, the Media Center has 15,000 books and 25,000 text- books and carries 200 different magazine titles. There are many smaller rooms off the main room. Some are used for class instruc- tion and conferences, and some are for just reading. THE MEDIA CENTER

WE TAKE CARE 0F YOU As the secondary school nurse, Ms. Kacirkls main responsibil- ity is to set a health service pro- gram. She has many duties and responsibilities. Some of her major duties are: to hold the health records of every student in the schoolg to provide emer- gency nursing for ill or injured students, and to notify their parents about those as well as other problems the student might have or acquire. She has other duties assigned to her that are still of considerable im- portance. They deal mainly with distributing first aid kits to all classes and instructing students about first aid procedures. Ms. Kacirk treats different ill- nesses within this school. Asked about the two prime complaints that Mira Mesa High students come to her about, she replied, headaches and stomachachesv. MR.
