This year's Varsity Cross Country team was plagued by injuries from the start. They even lost senior Jim Thuerwachter in the latter part of the season. Running in a pack during the race, John Flores, Jene Burris, Joe Schefflin, Fred Sconberg, and Dick Carrol, ran away with the meet. Sophs Place 2nd in C.V.C The sophomores did an outstanding job this year. Placing high in many league meets without the assist- ance of ace John Flores, they captured 2nd in the C.V.C. Outstanding efforts were given by Russ Doiron, Roger Westrup, Eric Frye, Mark Mack, Loren Root, and Tim Aspinall. We can expect a good job out of them next year. Mark Mack and Eric Frye finish the race. Russ Doiron finishes calmly. 207 Cross Country
