1- SBUHTES QUILL AND SCROLL is the highest school honor given to students who have demon- strated superior work in yearbook, journal- ism and creative writing. Sponsored by Mr. Jerry Klein, the organization is limited to juniors or seniors, in the upper one third scholastically of their class. Students who have worked at least one hun- dred hours after school for the Drama De- partment are eligible to join the NATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY. Dedicated individuals who enjoy acting or the technical part of the theater are honored in the group. Mrs. Sher- alyn Smith directed their many activities. Lead by Mr. Richard Gustafson, the NATION- AL FORENSIC LEAGUE had another success- ful year. Thought development and imlproved speaking skills are the goals of the organi- zationg debates and tournaments made ap- propriate proving grounds. Club Performing service activities both in and out of school, the S Club worked for the good of others. Some of their many hours were spent at Registration, the M.C. Forensic Tournament, several homes and hospitals. Once in the group, each girl must earn 1,4 service hours per semester.
