BILL KELLY Prexident JERRY MASON Viva Prcsidenl AILERN KING IOR SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As we, the Seniors of '53, look back at our years at lklira Costa, we find they hold memories that we will treasure throughout the years. lt has been said that high school days are the best days of your life, and we believe it when remembering such things as . . . the first big social activity, the Varsity Dance in 1950, with Amy Du Boce smiling as she received the significant gold football. Then came the Spring Swings, the Christmas Formals, the Junior Prom, and then the Junior-Senior Prom. There were the class productions, the Junior Play in '52, and the Senior Play in ,53. We always re- mained as the victorious ones in the Paper Drives. How proud we Sem f y were of senior rings! And then came the thrilling day that the Senior Patio was dedicated. And the Junior Picnic and Senior Ditch Day were traditions that we, as the first graduating class, set for lNIicohi. We will always remember . . . the thrilling football games, CIF in Paso Robles, the basketball games with CIF in Barstow, the assemblies, the clubs, the teas and banquets and dinners, ' and all the wonderful things we did together. To many honors be- stowed upon us, in sports, in scholastic endeavors, and the citizenship and character awards. TYMME HARDIN We thank whole-heartedly, the faculty, our counselors, and our Tfvdfwff officers, who have worked hard to make such wonderful years pos- sible. We have had the opportunity of few, to remain the upper- classmen three out of four years of high school and we have remained loyal to the school that stands first in our hearts. So, we the Seniors of 1953, salute, the lowerclassmen. We leave to you the traditions and standards that we have set up. Yes, we have much to be proud of, and now comes the big day, graduation, when we, as students of Mira Costa say goodbye to N each other, to friends, to teachers and to high school and go on only Dfzlfjfiiffli SPENCPR to remember, Lest we forgetf, I f?
