PROPHECY The year is nineteen hundred and sixtyeight. The place is the Mio Community Building, Mio High School. The time is May 22nd, exactly ten years since we were separated at graduation. The occasion is the reunion of the class of '58, All members are present and as the evening passes these are the things we learn about our old classmates. Don Atherton, our Space Cadet, is now a full-fledged Chaplain at the Air Base in Cscoda, Michigan. John Miteen, the cowpuncher of our class, has a ranch northwest of Mio, where he raises beef cattle. Guess who is at the head of the English department at Mio High School nowadays? It is our athelete-graduate, Bob Gordert, Roger Keebaugh, a dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Studios, is doing very nicely with his teaching, especially with his new dance, the CHICKEN- RHUMBA. Jack Owen, our student actor, is now a second Clark Gable and charming all the ladies of Hollywood. Ron Solak, who has stayed in the old home town, is now proprietor of Northwood Gardens. . Dick Smith, who studied to become a lab technician, is now studying for the board exam. He has a very good chance of becoming M1o's new Chief of Police at the recently established Police Station in Mio. Chuck Mitchell is Mio's Einstein, At the present time he is working on the Mars-to-Mio Turnpike. Sandy Persall, our glamour girl, has turned photo-collector. It seems she has quite a large collection of photos of Hubby-Joe and the children. Marilyn wing recently announced her marriage to a handsome intern at Saginaw General. They had' been engaged for ten years. Carole Wilson, our fllrtatious one, suddenly found herself with a few more husbands that what is legal. She said she cou1dn't bear to hurt their feelings. Lorna Buchanan, our handy one, is head mechanic at Keebaugh Incorporated. She has been working on the styling of a new sports car to be called the Keebaughbird, Ken Smith, new the star of his own T.V. show known as nState Troopern. He writes all his own scripts from his past experiences. Dick Gaiser is now a well known carpenter in and around the vincinty of Mio He gained his experience from rebuilding his own home. Janice Fullerton, our determined career girl, now has a life-time career caring for her seven children. Sharon Bussey,has been nominated for the Presidency of the United States. If she is elected she will be the first woman President. Alta McQua1d, our quiet girl, is now an inventor. Recently she invented a new type of school. It is one without teachers and everyone is gettin A's 4
