Myrna commonly known as the giggling flirt Kind of dazed with bookkeeping but with boys she's alert, Maxine is sweet and the quiet type But when she's with Gary there's never a gripe, Dorothy, that gal with stars in her eyes, Who's always a treat and a pal to the guys, Smokey, that lad with the wonderful smile, His trips to Eagle were just for a while, julia, our gal with the delicate brain We wish many years for Lefty to remain, SENIOR CLASS COLORS Blue 8: Silver C LASS FLOWER Carnation CLASS MOTTO Better To Suffer Defeat Than To Be Ashamed Of Victory 10 Prophecy Class of Sl Revealed to Smokey f Mat j Matheson As my team went out on the field to play the Eagle Eagles, Ibegan thinking of my classmates from dear old M, H, S, and how we used to wait un- til we could tromp Eagle in the ground, As I sat there daydreaming, Ibegan to see visions ofjimmy f Wic l Lucerne, now a star basketball player with the Phillips 66 team in Memphis, Minnesota, Next, I see Merrill f Moe j Sinclair, now a big Admiral in the U, S, Navy He and his wife Cookie have four little swabies, Then I see Dorothy Ginther, now married to Gene Lynn and living in a very high toned place in Chicago, Also, I see Maxine Hughes, now a secretary to Gary Willingham, her hus- band, who is now owner of the D 8: R G, W, Railroad, They have two adorable little Hams now, Then I see Myrna Sifers, now head of a large X-ray school in California, She and Vernon Ashcraft finally after ten years are getting married, Last of all, I see julia Walther, still going with Lefty Sullivan, She is now a ticket agent for Mid-Western Air Lines, Lefty still has hopes of catching her, The game ended ------ I came out of a daze, Iwas sitting in the grand stand, and my wife, Georgia Harris, was pulling at me to leave, It was then I realized that I hadn't seen any of the game, but Georgia told me that the Panthers beat Eagle, ll n Class Will We, the Seniors oi 1951, being of sound mind, body, and memory fwe hopel, would like to have it known to all of the present student body our last Will and 'f6Sfim0I1Y.
