RONALD E. ARCHER, Chairman EdD, Colorado College, Greeley Special Education Remodeling of part of the first floor of Main was one of the big proj- ects of the Division of Special Edu- cation. The 550,000 proiect provided a language development nursery. Youngsters with communication disorders are diagnosed, evaluated and treated in the nursery. This com- plex contains four 6x3 one-Way mir- rors, closed circuit TV, observation suites and complete carpeting. . Hearing tests and evaluative serv- ices were carried on. Students in this division Worked with older ac- cident patients and stroke victims in the Americana and Lutheran Nurs- ing Homes. The only graduate program at MSC is in Special Education. An MS in Speech Pathology and in Education of the Deaf are offered. MSC is the only institution in the state that offers the MS in Education of the Deaf or that offers teachers training in the education of the deaf. About 25 were enrolled in graduate school this year.
