Minot High Teachers Present A Varied And interesting Staff PAUL C. RISTVEDT, teacher of chemistry ond aviation education, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at MSTC and. a Master of Arts degree at the University of North Dakota, Mr. Ristvedt, who has served as co-chairman of the Science Fair, hails from Ryder, North Dakota. RON DAVY attended college here in Minot at'MSTC, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, and also attended the University of Montana and the Univer- sity of North Dakota. Mr. Davy, whose home town is Minot, teaches distributive education, commercial law, and salesmarnship. He lists sports as his hobby. CARL 0. HAGAR, instructor of Art I and ll, and Art Supervisor in the Elementary Schools, can well quote, One picture is worth a thousand words. Mr. Hagar earned the degrees of Bachelor of Science and Master of Educa- ton at the University of Minne- sota, in his home town, Minnea- po is. RUDY ZUPETZ, who instructs Mechanical Drawing I and ll, calls Virginia, Minnesota, where he attended Virginia Junior College, his home. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Colorado State College of Educa- ton, Greeley, Colorado. WILLARD B. LAABS attended o college out- side of the United States, the University of Mexico. Mr. Laabs, who received his degrees of Bachelor of Science from Winona State Teachers College and Master of Science from the University of North Dakota, teaches economics, American government, and discussion-debate. An enthusastic hobbyist, his hobbies are collecting coins and gardening. As well as being' an alumnus of Winona State College Mr. Loabs is also a native of the same Minnesota town.

Constantly Expanding Enrollment Met by Competent Administration Our worthy principal looks over his daily mail. Students usually take for granted the smooth, efficient operation of MHS. CHRISTENSEN hails from Viborg, South Dakota, and at- tended the University of Minnesota, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Mr, Christensen, whose hobbies are tennis and astron- omy, instructs American history, economics, civics, and journalism. J Jed... HELEN SHEPHERD was born in Kevyon, Mississippi, and teaches American govern- ment and economics. Miss Shepherd earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College and attended the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Minnesota, the Oregon State College at Corvallis, Oregon, and MSTC. JACK L. ALLISON holds degrees from two colleges, Bachelor of Arts from the Univer- sity of Illinois and Master of Science from Northern Illinois State Teachers College. He also attended Normal State Teachers Uni- versity and the University of Alabama. Mr. Allison teaches Spanish I and Il and English III. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, and ridding. His home town is Taylorville, inois. SAM A. VERBITSKY teaches Typing I, Shorthand I, Bookkeeping I, and advises the Searchlight staff. Mr. Verbitsky received his Bachelor of Science degree from MSTC and the degree of Master of Educaton from the University of North Dakota. His home town is Butte, North Dakota and his hobbies are fishing, hunting, and bow ing.
