L . 's , 'rf N' . fb , You have always told us that we must put ourselves into anything we do, if it is to be successful. This Searchlight :ind the many publications projects carried out during the year were only possible because of your help. for you have truly given of yourself. as well as of your time-and patience, in order that we might accomplish the things we set out to do. W'e want you to know that your presence. your encouragement. and your friend- ship have meant much more to each one of us than can be adequately expressed in words. Although no tangible token can recompense you for your extra effort and time spent working with us. we are hcrc paying you the highest tribute we can pay. This Search- light is gratefully dedicated to you. Miss Nagatomo, to show you in part how much you mean to the students of Minot High School who arc privileged to call you their friend. We hope that as you look back through this Searchlight. you will find between its covers many memories of this past year that will remain with you forever . . . I R Jn ,, uw? The floats were the streets of Minot's district by the school band. The line was the Queen Evan Cole's band played from the stage where the theme was interpreted by an immense pink flamingo stand- ing behind the players. Led by the junior class vice president, VeeAnn Joyer, and her date, Roger Flom, sixty-eight cou- ples danced through the even- ing in paradise. ,Klan X st Tropical Transports Paradise swaying palm trees and bright- formals lent an atmosphere to the 1954 Junior-Senior which was held amid a tropical setting the theme Stranger in Paradisef, auditorium was transformed into a Sea paradise with realistic scenes of islands, native villages, and colorful flowers along the walls. Soft indirect lights enhanced the decorations which were created by the skillful hands of committees chosen from the junior class and headed by Connie Nelson, class prcsidentg Janis DuPuis and Gary Holum, Prom co-chairmen: and Miss Mable Jane Adams, junior class adviser. Slender ferns divided the lounge from the dance floor which was canopied by midnight blue streamers and caught at the peak by a huge tropical flower.
