Satellite-Zuora Station 107693460284 April 28, 1964 s -P, E f btw Outer-global Affairs Mr. Melvin J. Hentze: Minooka, Illinois Dear Mr. Hen-tze: We received your message on the televiewer yesterday. It was good to hear from you again. We would have used the outerviewer, but the rocket crew has not arrived to repair it yet. It seems like just yesterday we were all hurrying to our classes before the bell rang. So many things have changed since we graduated. Melode and I were thinking about holding a reunion up here this year, we haven't had one for ten years. Have you seen any of our old classmates recently? I imagine with the school so large now you don't have much time to visit the old grads. Of course you must see Frank Campbell, Ed Anderson, Bob Mork, and Ken Phillips every now and then in town. How are they doing with the drag strip? I heard the news about White Willow becoming a state on the audio-viewer a while back. With Gary Geistler as the governor, I'm sure the new state will do well. How is the basketball team getting along under their peaceful coach Roger Hadaway? Does Ron Peterson still own that paint store? Is Dan Roberts still the only farmer in the whole state? I understand Charlie Karr is doing well as a pitcher for the Cardinals. With Mr. Miller being coach of the White Sox, I imagine they still argue about baseball. Oh-that reminds me-Don Williamson started his own baseball team up on the moon. I think he named them the Orange Sox. The M.O.P. Corporation is very prosperous. Don McCord, Mark Offerman, and Dick Pace founded the corpora- tion. They have three lovely secretaries-June Vickery, Linda Todd, and Sandy Weigerding. They manufacture mops. I Are Rae Lee Hagmayer and Gerry Peterson still teaching P.E. at school? Hansena Vandborg and Rosemary Lamp- ing are now your business teachers, aren't they? While I was down on earth last month, I saw Jeanette Coyne, who is still trying to decide whether she should or should not go to college. She told me that Tom Keplar owns a furniture repair store. He still tries to fix his old red Buick. He won't take it to Dan' Anderson's Service Shop. He always was stubborn. Yesterday I saw a mouse. I was terrified, but I used one of the Ken Dean Electro-trapsl' and got rid of the hor- rid creature. I went to see Steph Mann last week. CYou know she is the first waitress to ever make a million dollars in tips.j She was telling me about some of our old classmates. Ava Galloway is the hairdresser for the first ladies. Sherry Eaton is the greatest piano player in the world. Roger Miller is still in the army. He's a private first class now. Melode and I bought a car recently. We got it at Bob Wilkinson's New Car Lot. He gets some tough competition from Duane Savukoski who has a used car lot across the street. Both are supplied with hubcaps from Ken Malone and Clayton Wilson. Kristi Hoyland is working as a maid for Congressman Dick Kubinski. Shirley Lundstrom, Betty St. Ange, and Mar- garet Wheeler own a shoe store near Dave and Rosalie Corbin's clothing store. They sell everything for twins. Allen Pehlke is their bookkeeper. jim Satorius is an actor. Have you ever seen him perform? I saw him in a movie, and he was great. Rhoda Martin married a rich hillbilly and has a daughter name Eloise. Bev Ham is Eloise's nurse. Cheryle Ashmore is head of the Peace Corps. She is in Siberia doing research. Lee Harrison and Eldon Sitzes are wrestling coaches at the Mars- Inter-planitary School for Boys. Dale Sage is an IBM operator at Larry Torkelson's car factory. They even make cars with that machine now. Barb Wendell owns a Howard johnson restaurant. LoWayne Wells works there as hostess. Part of the restaurant is a fashion center where clothes are modeled. Nancy Murley models there for fashion designer Sharon Grindstaff. Jean Vickery is performing there now. She is one of the best opera singers in the universe. Next time you go to Hibler's Food Mart say hello to Merry Todd for me. She is the head clerk now, isn't she? Is Bill Turner still working at the Foundry? I'd better sign off for now. Melode and I are going to Mars to visit a friend. We are doing fine up here in the satel- lite. We get to come down to the earth in three months. I hope we can visit you then. Yours truly, Stell Owens
