D.A.R. AWARD The Alida C. Bliss Chapter of Grundy County pre- sents a D.A.R. Award to one Senior girl each year. This award is based on dependability, leadership, service, and patriotism. The winner is chosen by a vote ofthe Senior Class and faculty. This year Chandra Dorick received this award. MOST REPRESENTATIVE STUDENTS The Most Representative Students are chosen by popular vote by the student body and faculty. This honor is based on academic achievement, good citizen- ship, and participation in school clubs, sports, and social activities. Chandra Dorick and Richard Coyne were chosen to represent the Class of 1962. 22 Senior Awards WOMAN'S CLUB AWARDS Each year the Woman's Club of Minooka awards medals to the boy and girl who have the highest scholastic average in their class for their four years of high school work. Richard Coyne had a 4.97 aver- age and Janet Vaksdal had a 4.85 average, based on five points for an A. AMERICAN LEGION AWARDS ' Honor, courage, leadership, scholarship, companion- ship, character, and service are the qualities con- sidered by the faculty in voting for the American Legion awards which are presented by Post 1188. Kay Moore and Walter Heap received this honor.
