fjfrozzyf ffe years In 1956 as a group of thirty-five green freshies we entered M.C.H.S. During that year we sponsored a luncheon and the Christmas party. We had members on the junior varsity basketball team, in chorus, and in band. We had a small semester honor roll of five. But being a class not willing to sit on our laurels, we hoped to do better in the future. Our sophomore year found us with our feet more down to earth. To raise money this year we gave a Thanksgiving party which was a big success. We also had a luncheon. We had four boys on the basketball team and two cheerleaders. Our academic average improved. We were represented by eight persons on the honor roll. This year was another success. As juniors we had a very exciting year. We all pitched in to sell Christmas cards and to make the Junior Snak Shak a success. We wanted to make our prom and banquet the best. This proved quite interesting. We had nine repre- sentatives on the honor roll. It wasn't very long ago that we came filing into school for our last year. We had mixed emotions. Some of us were happy while others were sad. We all knew there was no turning back. jim Herringer served the class as president. Kathi Anderson was elected to be his right hand lady as vice-president, while Marge Knudson was to take the minutes and jack Phillips was to record finances. On April 24, we presented our class play, A-Feudin' Over Yonder. It was a real smash and left unforgettable moments for all. Of course, we could not have done it without our director, Mr. Baker. We were well represented on the basketball team. Dennis Wilhelmi and jim Rushing shared high honors there. Kathi Anderson and Barb Heap spurred the team with their cheerleading ability. We sponsored the annual Christmas party, a luncheon, and a regular party to get money for our field trip, junior-senior picnic, and other expenses. On May 9, we enjoyed the prom put on by the junior Class. Graduation, on june 5, brought the climax to a great year. Many memories were collected during our four years at M.C.H.S. that will last forever. We are proud to be graduates of Minooka High School and wish the best of luck to the future graduating classes.
