CLASS HISTORY In September of l939, a group of very green freshmen wltn knees Knocklrg, and volces haklng, entered the portals of N C H o Fllled wlth prlde because we were tne flrst class to seek our nlgher education ln tne new scnool bulldlng, we courageously set forth Belng no greener tran otner freshmen, we made our flrst mlSt8h8 by chooslng Llla as our presldent, and plcked the unable supporter, Joe, to asslst ner Tony took the money and spent lt unwlsely, and wrote our letters, we know not to wnom Mlss Mcborman and Mr Webb consented to advlse us and we certalnly needed a llttle advlsing After studying nard, and regularly, as all good studerts do, we nad the greatest disappolntment of our llfe kr Scnnelder, contldentlally told us, we were tne dumbest cla s to enter scnool ln ten years Mltn feellngs nurt, and prlde wounded we struggled on, loslng Ester Budde, Marlon Petrl, Melvln Hartzler, Jacob wolf, and Ldltn Yeagle The year was uneventful wltn only six class partles being reld we were oon as the L L C ibumb Debutante' Flnally, the one lmportant evert we nad been looklng forward to all year occured tne all school plcnic at Sterved Rock Tnls was tne day we let our nalr down, had a good tlme, and s ld 'farewelln to our fellow students untll ve'd meet 8Q8lH nelt fall We were greatly refreshed after a summer of rest, and when we came back ln the fall, we found we nad gone one rung HlQhCP ln tne ladder and Know we were the Hsllly sophmore H however, our class was sorewnat smaller, for Roserary Fox and AllCC Hass went back to Flanagan to school, Holland Marshall decided tnere were more oppor tunlties on tne farm, and Red McYeon vent to Follywood to see lf ne could act Dale and Racnel were the execut ves wltn Leland as secretary treasurer We cho e Nlss Howell and Mr Netnerton to lead us 0 D : 0 A , L 5 L L 3 S .
