Mini-School one big family “One big family, that’s how Maud Clawson describes Mini-School. Maud and Eric Boettcher pointed out that in Mini-School you are allowed to face your own consequences, while in mainstream, they feel, you are not allowed to. In Mini-School they take trips. They aren’t “cushy” trips where you stay in hotels and eat in restaurants. They are trips where you hike for 45 miles with a 7 5 pound backpack and you can’t take a shower for eight days. Eric summed up their trips by saying, “It’s all hardships, but you learn to overcome them and everyone helps everyone. You have to learn to cope with people, especially when you are in the middle of no where and cramped in a small bus.” (CW) Page 22: Randy Nelson (Top Right), Doug Berg (Middle of group photo).
