TONKA This year’s homecoming at Minnetonka was filled with memories everyone will look back on. To start the week off Monday morning a pepfest was held and the court candidates were announced. Tuesday was “Yunkie Day” (dedicated to Mark Youngquist by his fans). On Wednesday, it was pajama day and in the afternoon the court candidates gathered for the traditional Queen’s Tea. Thursday was faculty day, but few students dared to dress up like faculty. Thursday night Jane Zwach, and Dave Fischer were crowned the royal couple. Friday was Blue and White day and everyone wore their “Beat Edina” sweatshirts. The school parade was held in Excelsior. At the football game in the evening, we beat our rival Edina 10-7! The Senior Girls’ beat the Cheerleaders and Skipperettes Saturday in the Powderpuf f game. Homecoming was a very special wee k filled wi th memories. (IB) m Homocoming
