Mr. Larson appears to be contemplating profound advice. Right? Phy Ed Supplies New Look, Policy Unfair as it may seem to the present senior and junior girls, the sophomores have a new gym wardrobe this year. The new suits are all coordinated, with a matching sweatsuit. That isn’t the only change in physical education at Tonka this year — the physical education department has quit taking the familar physical fitness test, and girls are no longer required to take showers. Miss Farness and Mrs. Patton laugh devilishly over a new exercise for the girls. 28

These are questions frequently asked in Mrs. Arlene Jorgenson’s Marriage and Family Living course. I wish we had more boys taking this class to balance it out. Mr, Lundin tunes in as his typingclass learns their p's and q’s. Business Ed Runs School Store and DECA Does Minnetonka High seem less populated in the afternoons than the mornings? This is quite possible, considering many students leave school early to go to work on the Distributive Education program. Have you often wondered why students are lined up in front of that little window across from the Attendance Office? They're customers of the School Store, run by D.E.C.A. students. The store gives the students experience in business and handling money matters — He wants change from a $5 bill for a 35 c purchase. Hmm ... 35 40 ... 50 .. $1 ... Doug Michaud and Mr Fuller take inventory in the School Store. 29 Another crowded class? Or is it Mr. Hovland's personality appeal?
